Castrol Portfolio


Castrol have secured a varied portfolio of high level sports sponsorships, that reinforce their proposition of Power, Performance and Protection.

Over the years Orckid has helped bring these sponsorships to life through the Independent Workshop channel for both the Passenger Car Oil market and Heavy Duty Vehicles.

When Castrol first sponsored the European Cup we created a B2B dialogue for their sales teams enabling them to talk competently about the link between the business of oil and the business of football and what this would mean to the business, their customers and their consumers. Sales aids, Consumer promotions and POS kits were developed to promote and support the sponsorship.

Orckid helped create a global activation campaign to bring to life their World Cup sponsorship.

Having identified areas where we could engage, educate, and influence the different audiences, we developed a comprehensive range of targeted communication.

A series of engagement documents for countries and regions, B2B communications, sales tools, B2C communications, Consumer promotions, POS kits and Branded give-a-ways.

A 'Toolkit' was developed to highlight the business opportunities the sponsorship of the World Rally Championship provided, and how these could be maximised to drive sales.The kit incorporated a series of internal, B2B and B2C communication, teaser campaigns, incentive campaigns, digital sales tools, World Rally experiences, consumer promotions and a range of POS kits.

The Toolkit was activated in 13 countries helping Distributors and Independent Workshops to achieve and exceed their pre determined targets for the sales of Castrol premium lubricants.
